This jigsaw puzzle reproduces a New Yorker cover illustrated by Jean-Jacques Sempé, preserving the scene's Americana celebration and subtle humor. The composition balances open space with small narrative details, and the puzzle has a linen-style finish.

About the image
A crowd gathers at a summer celebration as balloons rise into the sky, except for one child who holds tight to theirs, prompting a call from an adult nearby. Sempé's simple, expressive drawing captures the small standoff against a backdrop of patriotic reds, whites, and blues.
