What you'll be solving
Hondius's 1630 World Map was originally designed as the frontispiece for his revision of the Mercator/Hondius atlas. Its decorations present four elements—earth, air, fire, and water—plus portraits of Julius Caesar and of the cartographers Claudius Ptolemy, Gerard Mercator, and Jodocus Hondius Sr.
