About the image
What you'll be solving
The image reproduces Diego Rivera's mural Dream of a Sunday Afternoon in Alameda Park, which gathers conquistadors, politicians, revolutionaries, and artists from four centuries of Mexican history in one park scene. Near the left of center is the muralist's child-sized self-portrait, with Frida Kahlo positioned above and behind him. Rivera's hand meets the skeletal hand of La Calavera Catrina, who stands beside her black-suited creator, illustrator José Guadalupe Posada; the Catrina is a satirical figure associated with Day of the Dead celebrations.
