This jigsaw features a painting by Gilbert “Magu” Luján, the visionary painter who founded the collective Los Four and drew on his Mexican and Native American heritage to shape a vivid visual vocabulary for Chicano art. The image takes its name from Turtle Island, a reference to North America rooted in Indigenous creation stories, and it keeps cultural identity at the center of its cast of characters and monuments.
